Collaborations with ERGs (Employee Resource Groups) Continue in 2016

Did you know what ERG stood for at the beginning of 2015? Collaboration among SWE sections, MALs (Members At Large) and ERGs (Employee Resource Groups) was a strategic goal this year.

In July, #SWEmyERG was announced to allow SWE members to highlight when a SWE section and ERGs were able to collaborate. This hashtag has been used on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn. One company wrote, Rockstar collaborations- #SocietyofWomenEngineers and #WomenatIntel @SWEtalk #SWEmyERG. Another member used two popular hashtags in a post: #ILookLikeAnEngineer and #SWEmyERG. At WE15, there was a lot of opportunity to use #SWEmyERG because three sessions directly explored the topic of ERGs.

In 2016, SWE will continue to explore the best ways to collaborate with ERGs. If you know a good example, nominate the collaboration for the Region ERG award or use #SWEmyERG!
