Scholarships Available for the Nation’s Leading Summer Tech Camp

At Alexa Café, girls dive into STEM concepts in a fresh, inviting environment with a unique emphasis on leadership, entrepreneurship, and social activism.

SWE is excited to continue our partnership with iD Tech to provide 10 SWENexters with need-based scholarships to Alexa Café and iD Tech Camps. At Alexa Café, girls dive into STEM concepts in a fresh, inviting environment with a unique emphasis on leadership, entrepreneurship, and social activism.

This all-girls summer program encourages students to use technology to impact real-world problems like climate change and bullying. Choose from SWE-endorsed curriculum in coding, engineering, game design, 3D printing, and more. In addition to Alexa Café, girls can also attend iD Tech Camps, the company’s flagship co-ed tech program with over 100 locations nationwide. Apply for a scholarship today! The deadline is April 25, 2017.

Scholarships will cover day camp tuition for a week at Alexa Café or iD Tech Camps. Please note, financial need and access to technology/engineering classes will be taken into consideration first when reviewing applications. Apply for a scholarship to get started. For more information on camp locations and dates, go here. Email us at outreach@swe.org if you have any questions.

As part of our partnership, SWENexters who don’t receive a scholarship can save $100 at camps nationwide with code SWE17.

About SWE Outreach

Programs like Alexa Café are so important to SWE outreach and our objective to get more young girls interested in exploring engineering. As part of the partnership, SWENexters can save $50 on registration fees for Alexa Café programs by using the promo code SWE2016 (expires July 7, 2016).

We encourage you to share the Alexa Café curriculum to girls in your community as part of your outreach efforts, and encourage them to get involved in SWE’s free program SWENext for girls under the age of 18.

The Society has entered into a partnership with iD Tech, an organization providing summer camp programs offering students high-energy, hands-on technology education. This partnership will allow SWE to provide needs-based scholarships this summer to 10 SWENexters so they can attend Alexa Café Day Camp, which has been called one of the top tech camps for girls and teens worldwide.
