Congratulations SWENext Outreach Video Challenge Winners!
Several schools submitted an amazing video that showcased their love for engineering, SWE, and their colleges and universities. Thank you to the collegiate SWE sections who submitted videos!
Happy New Year, SWE members and SWENexters!
Late last year, the SWENext Outreach Work Group ran a video competition to benefit SWENexters. SWE collegiate sections were encouraged to create a three-minute video about what makes their college and SWE section great, along with information about their engineering department.
SWENext students will be able to watch these videos to learn about colleges across the country and about why being a SWE member in college is a great experience.
Several schools submitted amazing videos that showcased their love for engineering, SWE, and their colleges and universities. Thank you to the collegiate SWE sections who submitted videos! And thanks to all the volunteer judges (SWE members and SWENexters) who helped determine the top three videos.
Congratulations to the winners!
1st place: University of Minnesota – $500 to be used for a future K-12 Outreach event
2nd place: University of Pittsburgh – $300 to be used for a future K-12 Outreach event
3rd place: Penn State Erie – Behrend Campus – $200 to be used for a future K-12 Outreach event
All videos will be uploaded shortly for SWENexters to view.
This competition will be run again next fall so that more collegiate sections can participate and add their own voices and videos to our growing archive. We encourage any collegiate sections who missed out this year to submit your own videos next time!
