Why Portland?

Portland is frequently recognized as one of the world’s most environmentally conscious cities with 10,000 acres of public parks, expansive public transportation and hundreds of miles of bike lanes. Portland is an important distribution center for importing and exporting, and it has a long history with the tech industry with over 1,200 companies currently operating in Portland. It’s a city you have to experience yourself, begin today.

In a city as green as Portland, there is always a great outdoor space to enjoy for the home gardener or avid hiker. Spend the afternoon at the International Rose Test Garden or spend the day hiking one of the beautiful trails just minutes from downtown Portland. You don’t have to venture far from town to enjoy the great outdoors.

It’s no surprise that WE Local chose Portland especially when it’s very hard to not eat local in Portland, and harder to resist all the amazing food. Make time to visit the well-known donut shop, Voodoo Donuts and check out the dozens of food trucks for some tasty, local treats!
