Engineering For Change
Our WE12 conference is almost upon us.Â Things at the SWE office are hectic, as you might imagine.Â Everyone wants their conference efforts to equate to great experiences for all of you who are going to Houston.Â Engineering 4 Change is no exception.
Here are three opportunities for you to learn more about this wonderful enterprise that is helping people around the world.
- First, E4C LLC President Noha El-Ghobashy will be presenting a lightning talk about E4C on Thursday, November 8 from 2:30-2:50 pm in Room 340 of the George R. Brown Convention Center.Â Come hear about how to get involved, including accessing the newly launched E4C webinar series, which are live, interactive webcasts that provide a global platform for learning, interacting, and contributing to solving global development and humanitarian engineering issues.Â Past topics have included, â€śRevoLootinary: Designing Sexy Toilets,â€ť and â€śEngineering for Human Rights: Opportunities, Risks, and Responsibilities.â€ť
- E4C will be holding a meet-up for SWE E4C members and other SWE members interested in E4C on Friday, November 9th from 7:30-9:00 pm.Â The event will be held in Room 382 of the George R. Brown Convention Center.Â The event will highlight a couple social entrepreneurs who are involved with E4C, as well as several exhibitors.Â If you are interested in attending, please click here., and RSVP by Friday, October 26th.
- E4C will also have a booth in the SWE career fair.Â Please stop by Booth 860 to talk to E4C representatives.
