FM Global in Milan held its first seminar about globalization in collaboration with SWE last November. During this seminar, FM Global clients, prospects and brokers had the opportunity to learn and share.

FM Global is a Johnston, Rhode Island based mutual insurance company, with offices worldwide, that approaches property risk management with a different perspective than most. FM Global believes that resilience before, during and after an event is what will ultimately allow a business to grow. FM Global helps protect clients´ properties worldwide through cost-effective loss prevention engineering and risk improvement solutions and risk transfer solutions.

The morning kicked off with a welcome introduction where FM Global explained its history and a little bit of its story, followed by a SWE introduction, where the reasons why FM Global partners with SWE were articulated to the audience, who welcomed the initiative and showed great interest in SWE.

globalizationFrom there, a general overview of globalization and its implications in the insurance business was presented by Thierry Masurel, Paris Operations Manager for FM Global, a great supporter and sponsor of SWE. Then, shortly after, the two FM Global guests, Claudia Costa, Senior Legal Counsel – Corporate Insurance Manager De´Longhi SpA and Monica Quatela, Insurance Manager Davide Campari – Milano SpA, presented the challenges that globalization poses to their business and how they manage to overcome to them and balance their personal and professional lives. They also presented the solutions that FM  Global offers to their companies in order to support them in their day-to-day activity.

The day ended with some practical examples of how FM Global Advantage Policy 2016 helps to support globalization efforts and offers competitive and innovative solutions to our clients. Attendees also experienced a virtual reality tour of the FM Global Research Center.

More than 25 attendees – both women and men – had the opportunity to connect, share and learn.
