The Society of Women Engineers held a successful second conference for women in India March 22-24, 2017. WE Local Pune was a life-changing, three-day experience for hundreds of women in India who work in engineering and technology. The conference featured keynote speakers, panel discussions, professional development sessions, networking, and job opportunities at a career fair.

Men As Diversity Partners
WE Local Pune 2017 featured the panel discussion “Men as Diversity Partners: Being a Champion of Women in Engineering.” The panel included Moderator Jessica Rannow, FY17 President – Society of Women Engineers and Panelists Anant Talaulicar, Vice President – India ABO and Chairman, CIL – Cummins Inc.; Sharad Lodhi, Head HR Eaton India Engineering & Innovation Centre – Eaton Technologies Limited; Rahul Khare, Marketing & Strategy Leader, Honeywell Process Solutions – Honeywell; Gautam Gulati, Director, IT Strategy and Management – Schlumberger; and Liju Augustine, Head of India Technology Development Center – Northern Trust.
Beyond Robots and Jetpacks: The Next Decade of Engineering
WE Local Pune 2017 also featured a panel discussion called Beyond Robots and Jetpacks: The Next Decade of Engineering. The panel included Moderator Ria Ghosh, Manager – John Deere; and Panelists Yamini Kaur, Senior Principal Software Engineer – Cadence; Sreekumar Panicker, Head of Electrical Segment – Eaton India Innovation Centre; Udaya Shrivastava, SPS India Engineering & Technology Leader – Honeywell; and Padma Priya Gaggara, Principal Engineering Manager – Microsoft.

WE Local Pune 2017 also featured the panel discussion “Management in the Age of Globalization” with Moderator Neelu Khatri, President, Aerospace – Honeywell India and Panelists Jennifer Rumsey, Vice President Chief Technical Officer – Cummins; Anuradha Srinivasan, Director – Intel Labs India; and Shobha Pandey, General Manager, Talent Development – John Deere.
