Google strives to cultivate a wholly inclusive workplace around the globe. A key component of that vision is empowering women to pursue their dreams and build tools that change the world. Having a diversity of perspectives and ideas leads to better decision-making, more relevant products, and makes the industry much more interesting. We believe that when organizations create the right environments, programs and policies, women in tech are better positioned to drive transformational change in the industry and beyond.

The Women Techmakers Global Event Series
Celebrating International Women's Day
In conjunction with International Women’s Day on March 8th, Google is hosting a series of global Women Techmakers summits geared towards increasing visibility, community and resources for women in technology. These summits will be hosted at Google offices and locations around the world, and will feature panel discussions, technical talks with female technology leaders, career-planning discussions, networking opportunities and more. And, in true Google fashion, there will be plenty of food and giveaways.
Because space is limited, attendance at these summits is application-based. Visit the Women Techmakers website to find the summit closest to you and to apply. The application process is easy, and will take no more than 10 minutes. Click here to apply.
Not seeing an IWD Summit location near you? This year we are piloting travel grants for North America residents who are at least 18 years of age and do not live within driving distance of an IWD summit. Winners will receive the following:
- Round trip flight from home airport to IWD Mountain View or IWD New York City
- Two night stay at hotel in Mountain View (or surrounding city) or New York City
Please complete this travel grant application to attend one of the summits by January 31, 2018. Please note that you do not need to fill out both a travel grant application and an app for Mountain View or New York City.
