In the summer of 2017, the Chicago Regional Section (CRS) leadership learned of the sudden passing of Wendy Landwehr. Wendy was a past CRS president, a past member of the Board of Directors for SWE, and a newly elected trustee. To help the memory of Wendy live on, CRS is establishing an endowed scholarship in her memory. This scholarship will be awarded to a female college student studying engineering.
One of Wendy’s passions within SWE was working with the students, so a scholarship named after her was the best way CRS determined to keep her spirit alive. Visit here to make a donation, or checks can be mailed to: SWE Chicago Regional Section, PO Box 95525, Palatine, IL 60095-0525. Please make a note that the donation is for the Wendy Landwehr Fund. Any questions can be addressed to Abbey Schmoll, CRS Treasurer, at abbey.schmoll@solvay.com.
