SWE PDG Committee Now Accepting Applications for FY19

SWE PDG Committee will make awards totaling $45,000 during FY19 to support K-12 outreach, professional development, and program development activities lead by eligible SWE Organizations.
SWE Leadership Summit Update

Through the generous funding from the ExxonMobil Foundation, micro-grants are available to support the strategic activities of SWE Organizations (Sections, MALs, Society Committees, or Affiliates).

Basic guidelines:

  • Grant Amounts & Deadlines: All grant requests must be at least $250 and $5,000 will be considered in four application cycles with deadlines on the following dates: August 1, 2018, November 1, 2018, January 1, 2019 and March 1, 2019.
  • Event Timing: Grants cannot be submitted during an event or after an event has occurred. If your event has taken place, do not submit a request for PDG funding.
  • Good Standing with SWE: For PDG funding, you must submit a grant through an active and in good standing SWE Organization. To determine if your SWE Organization is in good standing, email membership@swe.org.
  • Budget and Financial Verification: Ensure your SWE Organization treasurer is prepared to verify your request (see Treasurer Verification).
  • SWE Membership: Individuals submitting requests for PDG funding must be an active SWE member.
  • Update Your Address or Banking Information with SWE-HQ: SWE-HQ distributes electronic payments only through Concur. The address and/or bank account your SWE Organization has in Concur will be used to send your payment. Payments will not be sent to individuals or secondary accounts. To update or sign your SWE organization up for electronic payments, please download and complete this form and email it to accounts.payable@swe.org. This form can also be found in SWE Resources under Section Information > Finance Resources.

FY19 PDG Application Links & Submission Deadlines 
Ensure you have enough time to submit your application (see Application Deadlines). (Your event must occur 45 days after the deadline you are applying to (if you apply for the August 1 deadline, your event must take place after September 15, etc.)

FY19 PDG Report & Deadlines

The PDG Committee reviews PDG Reports four times a year. Deadlines are as follows: October 31, 2018, December 31, 2018, March 31, 2019 and May 31, 2019. Once your event is completed, please submit your report prior to the future deadline of the date closest to your event completion.
