Join Us Oct. 20 As We Encourage Girls to Explore EngineeringThe Society of Women Engineers (SWE) invites students, their parents, and educators to an amazing hands-on event where girls can learn about engineering in a fun and encouraging environment. Our one-day event is called Invent it. Build it.. Join us Saturday, October 20 at the Minneapolis Convention Center. Register now.

At Invent it. Build it., girls meet women engineers and learn about all of the opportunities a career in engineering can offer. This is an exciting event for middle school girls (grades 6-8) and high school girls (grades 9-12) as well as their parents and educators. Invent it. Build it. is an exclusive experience designed to encourage middle school and high school girls to choose a career in engineering. SWE has teamed up with the Girl Scouts, WGBH’s Design Squad Global, Techbridge, and the ExxonMobil Foundation for the 9th annual Invent it. Build it. 

All participants spend the morning exploring the EXPO learning about engineering clubs, camps, after-school programs, and competitions from a wide variety of exhibitors. Please note the parent/educator program is separate from the events for girls. Parents/educators will only be permitted to work with the students during EXPO hours, or if a child has special needs.
