The Society of Women Engineers (SWE), Girl Scouts, WGBH’s Design Squad Global, Techbridge, and the ExxonMobil Foundation have teamed up for the 9th annual Invent it. Build it. It’s a one-day engineering experience for middle school and high school girls with a parallel program for parents and educators. In the morning, girls attend our Outreach Expo, and in the afternoon, they do a hands-on engineering activity with women engineers.
Outreach EXPO serves girls, families, educators and SWE members. Exhibitors offer demonstrations and interactive displays. They share information about careers, engineering clubs, camps, after-school programs, competitions, best practices and outreach grants.
College Row is a new part of Invent it. Build it. this year. Girls, parents, and educators can walk down College Row and meet representatives from colleges and universities with engineering degree programs, STEM summer programs, scholarship opportunities and more.
Girls participating in the SWE Girls Program and those participating in the Parent Educator Program (PEP) will have the opportunity to walk through the EXPO from 9am-12pm. Come to the EXPO to learn about:
- Engineering clubs
- Engineering camps
- After-school programs
Our exhibitors will also have lots of goodies to take home.
