Where has the time gone? Can you believe it is almost the end of the year? This can only mean one thing, the first WE Local conference is less than 100 days away.
The WE Local season starts Friday, February 8, 2019, in Baltimore, Maryland, followed by four conferences in Tampa, Florida (February 15-16), St. Louis, Missouri (March 1-2), Denver, Colorado (March 15-16) and Bellevue, Washington (April 5-6). And you know what this means? That organizations and attendees have five opportunities to connect with fellow and future SWEsters, over 40 wonderful speakers and over 30 organizations (at each conference!) all local to you.
For 2019, WE Local has re-vamped the Career Fair model to benefit attendees and exhibitors. The WE Local Career Fair will take place on one day – Saturday – of each WE Local conference. The career fair will kick off with a networking session at breakfast at 8:00 a.m. (available to attendees with a Premier Registration) followed by three Organizational Information Sessions and a four-hour Career Fair starting at 9:00 a.m.
The WE Local conferences offer a smaller and more intimate experience compared to SWE’s Annual Conference. Therefore, exhibitors have a unique opportunity to engage with a smaller subset of regional talent. These conferences have been historically balanced in terms of participation between Professional and Collegiate attendees, so the conferences provide connection that is a different demographic of experience.
