Join SWE for a live web session about the intersection of race and gender in the engineering workplace. The web session entitled “Intersectionality and Women of Color in the Engineering Workplace” will be held on Tuesday, March 5, 2019, @ 2 PM CDT.

united handsThis session will be based on the Women of Color in the Engineering Workplace study published by SWE and NSBE in 2017, along with the Ignored Potential report published by NSBE, SWE and WEPAN. The session will give an overview of challenges faced by women of color in engineering, as expressed by both reports, followed by deeper dives into the importance of mentoring and professional organizations as support systems.
