Disneyland Engineering Tour

SWE is proud to award every girl who wins a SWENext Award an invite to a behind the scenes engineering tour of Disneyland.

The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) is a global non-profit organization founded in 1950. SWE will be hosting the world’s largest conference for women engineers this November in Anaheim, CA at the Anaheim Convention Center. Girls honored with a SWENext Award will be invited to a behind the scenes engineering tour of Disneyland among other great prizes.

In addition to the awards, we offer a variety of programs for students and their adult advocates (teachers and families). Please join us and help us promote the programming below.

SWENext Global Innovator Award (Grade 12)
Who Should Apply: Girls in grades 12 (2019/20 school year) who do STEM, plan on becoming an engineer and are doing something to promote STEM to girls.
Application Deadline: September 23, 2019

SWENext Community Award (Grades 9-11)
Who Should Apply: Girls in grades 9-11 (2019/20 school year) who do STEM, plan on becoming an engineer and are doing something to promote STEM to girls.
Application Deadline: September 23, 2019

SWENext High School Leadership Academy (SHLA)
Who Should Apply: Girls in grades 9-12 (2019/20 school year) who do STEM and are considering a career in engineering.
Application Deadline: October 14, 2019

Invent it. Build it. High School Girls Program (IIBI)
Who Should Apply: Girls in grades 9-12 (2019/20 school year) who want to learn more about engineering.
Application Deadline: November 2, 2019

Parent/Educator Program (PEP)
Who Should Apply: All adult advocates interested in encouraging a girl to go into engineering.
Application Deadline: November 2, 2019
