Effective 7/1/2019, the start of SWE’s FY20 fiscal year, SWE started a tradition to recognize the outstanding commitment to the Society among its membership. Each July, SWE will annually recognize members who have achieved the 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, and 50-year membership milestones.
SWE has over 100 active members who have held membership with SWE for 50 years or more.
As a SWE member, engineers and technologists from all walks of life join in a legacy that is nearly 70 years old. The ongoing dedication of our members empowers SWE as a global leader diversity, equity, and inclusion for women and those who are underrepresented within the fields of engineering and technology. We are stronger as a Society through the work, service, and leadership of our members.
We are pleased to share that members who joined SWE during the years below have been appropriately recognized to receive milestone pins according to the following anniversaries:

In FY21 (7/1/2020 – 6/30/2021), members will again be recognized for their 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45 and 50-year membership milestones.
For this year only, we are also retroactively recognizing any member who has achieved at least 20 years or more of membership with the anniversary membership milestone pin that they would have most recently achieved had the program been running historically.
