In this SWE Diverse episode, Heather Doty, SWE FY21 President, speaks with Alessandra Costa, vice president of field engineering at Cadence Design Systems. Together, they discuss Alessandra’s move from Italy to the United States to work with Cadence and how Cadence has successfully gone to remote work and kept their employees happy during these difficult times.
Alessandra Costa, Vice President of Field Engineering at Cadence Design Systems. Alessandra started her career in Italy as a Product Application Engineer. She jumped on the opportunity to move to the US in 2000 when she relocated to join Cadence R&D in San Jose California. It was supposed to be a couple of years “stint” but ended up being a life choice as Alessandra met her future husband while she was in the process of moving. Alessandra holds an MSEE and a Ph.D. in Microelectronics from Universita’ di Genova.
