SWE’s Women Engineers You Should Know (WEYSK) program was developed to recognize women engineers who might otherwise go unnoticed. They may not be famous, but they’ve made an impact as an engineer and as an individual.
In FY21, SWE Magazine continues its recognition of these unsung heroes. Many of these women go out of their way to mentor other women engineers or younger students interested in STEM. Some of these women have provided support for and made significant contributions to major projects in areas of interest to society, health and medicine, infrastructure, national defense, or technology in general.
The current nomination cycle is open and we’re accepting nominations through January 31, 2021. Those selected for recognition will be announced by May 2021 and will be published in SWE Magazine. The nomination form only takes a few minutes to complete and can be found here.
You may not need to dig very deep to identify a deserving individual (and she doesn’t need to be a SWE member). She might sit at the desk next to you. She might be your work mentor, or your next-door neighbor. She might even be your mentee or your daughter. Maybe you’ve never met this woman, but she’s impacted your life and personal history.

Make sure to nominate the next woman to join the ranks of Women Engineers You Should Know!
