The Society of Women Engineers Bylaws Committee has reviewed proposed changes to the Society’s bylaws requested by the Senate. The proposed amendments are as follows:

- Motion S-2110: Amend Article IX, Section 4, parts G and H – Change calendar deadlines to timeline based (view here)
- Motion S-2111: Amend Article IX – Committees to update Nominating Committee membership eligibility (view here)
Amendment proposals contain the rationale and pro/con discussion for each change.
The Senate will be voting on these changes at the close of the 45 day comment period (approximately June 11th). If you have any comments or concerns, there are three avenues for providing feedback:

On March 5, 2022 the electronic ballot by the Senate for S2106: Amend Article I Section 2 – Objectives to reference Articles of Incorporation completed with all votes received. The Bylaws amendment was ADOPTED with 21 votes in favor and 0 votes against.

On May 23, 2022 the Senate voted on Bylaws Amendment S2110: Amend Article IX, Section 4, parts G and H – Change calendar deadlines to timeline based. The Bylaws amendment FAILED with 13 votes in favor and 3 votes against.
