SWE honors the intersections of identity that its members represent. June is Pride Month in the United States, where the LGBTQ+ community is celebrated. SWE affirms and uplifts those members who are a part of this community. SWE has a variety of content and resources for those in the community and allies. - Ep 218: Transgender Voices in Engineering with Bree Fram ― An active-duty lieutenant colonel and astronautical engineer in the U.S. Space Force, Bree Fram (she/her) is one of the highest-ranking out transgender officers in the U.S. military. She discusses her journey, both professional and personal.
- Ep 231: Championing Inclusivity in Tech With Joannie Fu of Intel ― Joannie Fu, vice president of the Network & Edge Group (NEX) Execution Office at Intel discusses building a more inclusive tech sector and reflects on her experience of being out at work as a member of the LGBTQ+ community in the early 2000s, along with the industry changes she has seen since that time.

- Ep 134: SWE Celebrates Pride Month: Experiences of Nonbinary Students in Engineering ― Alexa Jakob, lead of SWE’s LGBTQ+ and Allies Affinity Group, speaks with Dr. Andrea Haverkamp (she/they). Dr. Haverkamp recently completed her Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering with a doctoral minor in Queer Studies at Oregon State University. Her three-year research project explored the experiences of transgender and gender nonconforming students in engineering and computer science, such as their sources of community support and collective resiliency in the face of adversity. Listen as they discuss this research and the experiences of nonbinary students in engineering.

Out in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (oSTEM) is a professional association for LGBTQ+ people in the STEM community. Membership in oSTEM is donation-based.
