The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) Mentoring Committee is open to all SWE members interested in mentoring resources. Our intent is to provide a platform for members to engage in supportive discussion, networking, and promotion of SWE mentorship initiatives, events, and content.

We’re proud to detail the Mentoring Committee’s achievements over the past year! You can find the metrics and achievements of the FY24 Mentorship Committee detailed below in the style of Spotify’s annual “Spotify Wrapped” summaries, and you can also view this data on SWE’s Instagram.

Global Participation

The FY24 SWE Mentoring Committee had global participation from over 18 countries.

Our participants live in Belgium, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Brazil, Canada, France, Gambia, Germany, India, Japan, Kenya, Liberia, Mexico, Nigeria, Pakistan, Peru, United Kingdom, United States, Zambia, and more.

Team and Activities

In our first year as a committee, our team and impact included:

  • 21 committee members
  • 24 committee-wide meetings
  • Six committee subteams
  • 500+ committee emails sent
  • Three continents represented
  • 40,000+ members served by committee resources

Blog Posts

We utilized the SWE All Together blog as a platform to share stories and information about mentoring and adult advocacy this year. Here are the results:

  • 700+ readers
  • Two committee-written articles
  • Four committee-affiliated articles
  • Readers reside in eight countries

Events

Over the past year, the SWE Mentoring Committee built community by hosting events:

  • 500+ event participants
  • Four events hosted (three virtual and one in-person)
  • 16 event panelists
  • Over five SWE groups that collaborated on Mentoring Committee events
