Keynote speaker Congresswoman Luz Rivas (CA-29) is the first Latina in Congress with a STEM background. As a former legislator in California’s State Assembly, she championed initiatives that expanded access to computer science and climate change education. After working in the private sector as an electrical engineer, she founded DIY Girls, a nonprofit organization in California’s San Fernando Valley dedicated to inspiring girls to explore STEM through hands-on learning and mentorship. Through DIY Girls, she has empowered thousands of young women by instilling economic independence, boosting self-confidence, and creating pathways to successful careers in STEM.

Don’t miss this opportunity to engage with thought leaders and advocates as we work together to drive progress in STEM fields!
