About Mrunali

Mrunali Ilamkar is a people manager at Rockwell Automation, where she leads teams across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the UK. Mrunali joined Rockwell in 2023 and became a SWE member and global ambassador in 2024. She has over 15 years of experience in the automation industry, with a Bachelor of Engineering in electronics & communication and a Master of Business Administration in sales and marketing. Mrunali is also PMP certified, with a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt.

Driving Impact Through SWE

Mrunali has been actively involved in promoting diversity and inclusion within the SWE community.

She started by attending the SWE Pune Diversity Roundtable at Eaton, where she participated in discussions and learned about various initiatives aimed at fostering a more inclusive environment for women in technology.

Furthermore, Mrunali represented Rockwell Automation at SWE Pune Affiliates 2024, showcasing the company’s commitment to diversity and highlighting the benefits of joining SWE.

Building on this experience, Mrunali contributed to WE Local Bengaluru 2024. She carefully reviewed the breakout sessions, ensuring they offered valuable insights and engaging discussions for attendees.

Shaping the Future With SWE

Mrunali actively promotes diversity hiring and SWE events during on-campus placements. She shares her own experiences and encourages students to join SWE, emphasizing the numerous opportunities and benefits it offers.

Future SWE Initiatives

Mrunali is actively involved in initiatives that bridge the gap between academia and the professional world. She is currently leading the “Campus to Corporate” event, a collaborative effort between Rockwell and SWE. This event aims to provide students with valuable insights into the corporate world and connect them with industry professionals. It will take place on March 7, which is International Women’s Day.

Looking ahead, Mrunali plans to attend WE Local Bengaluru 2025 in April, where she looks forward to gaining valuable knowledge and networking with other passionate women in technology.

Furthermore, Mrunali is committed to mentoring students. On Jan. 24, she attended a SWE event titled “VIT Bibvewadi, Pune,” and she shared her expertise and guided them on their career paths.

In addition, Mrunali is working tirelessly toward establishing Symbiosis College as an official SWE group. This initiative will provide students with access to exclusive resources, networking opportunities, and a supportive community.

Beyond SWE: Empowering Women

Mrunali’s commitment to empowering women extends beyond her involvement with SWE. She is an active member of the AP Mentor Circle for women’s leadership.

Mrunali believes in the power of knowledge and has led a book reading session focused on women’s empowerment. This initiative fostered discussions and inspired participants to embrace their full potential.

Finally, Mrunali has demonstrated her dedication to recognizing and celebrating women’s achievements by judging various competitions at the organizational level.
