The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) proudly supports India’s next generation of engineers with the India Scholars program.
This initiative awards a minimum of INR 85,000 to students in India pursuing undergraduate, postgraduate, or Ph.D. studies in engineering and related fields at Washington Accord-accredited institutions or SWE Affiliate universities. These scholarships recognize your academic achievements while providing essential financial support for your education and career.

Important Dates:
- Applications Open: Feb. 10, 2026 (for 2026-2027 academic year)
- Application Deadline: March 31, 2026 at 11:30 p.m. IST (12:00 p.m. CST)
Eligibility Requirements:
- Pursuing a degree in engineering, engineering technology, or an engineering-related field
- Will be enrolled in university at any level (first-year undergraduate through Ph.D.) during the 2026–2027 academic year
- Enrolled in a Washington Accord–accredited program or attending a university with a SWE Global Affiliate in India (see the complete list of eligible universities and programs)
