Plan Ahead & Expect Delays Entering the George H. Brown Convention Center
ONSITE HEALTH GUIDELINES FOR ATTENDEES: All attendees and exhibitors age 18 and older must show proof of a COVID-19 vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test (taken on or after 10/14/2022) to enter the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas and attend WE22 programming. Have questions? Check out our full COVID-19 Clear Health app page on the WE22 site page.
- For those in the United States, use Clear Health Pass to show proof of a COVID-19 vaccine or a negative COVID-19 Test (taken on or after 10/14/2022) in order to enter.
- Download the CLEAR app and tap the white Health Pass tile. Find WE22 in the Events section under Conferences.

SECURITY AT WE22: At WE22, SWE will ban firearms or weapons of any kind from entering the George H. Brown Convention Center for the duration of the event.
During this time, all doors to the Center will be locked and entry will only be permitted through the two main doors on the Avenida De Las Americas, an exhibitor dock entrance, the second floor entrance from the Marriott, and the second floor entrance from the Hilton.
All those entering the George H. Brown Convention Center will be subject to metal detectors and bag checks. SWE reserves the right to refuse entry to those who do not cooperate with these safety protocols. As SWE has done in the past, a mix of armed and non-armed security professionals will help monitor doors and checkpoints.

Please note badges WILL NOT be mailed in advance of WE22. Please print your QR coded email registration confirmation and bring it with you to registration. Scan your email at an “Already Registered” counter and your badge will be printed for you.

The WE22 Inspirational Insights sessions are designed to engage and inspire attendees on a range of relevant and thought-provoking topics. The dates, times, and descriptions of the Inspirational Insights and the State of Women in Engineering are included below.
SWE is happy to provide seven Inspirational Insights sessions eligible to earn 0.1 CEU/1.0 PDH each. To earn CEUs, you must attend the entire session and complete the post-session survey for each session. Partial credit or adjusted CEUs shall not be awarded to individuals who do not successfully meet the criteria.

Visit the Rainbow Lounge!
The WE22 Rainbow Lounge in Room 352C at the George R. Brown Convention Center offers a safe space for LGBTQ+ individuals. In addition to being a place to connect and socialize, the lounge will offer:
- A beading activity, where you can make your own keychain inspired by various Pride flags (this activity will be available until supplies run out).
- A Sensory Station including a variety of fidget toys and pop-its for a fun mental break in between sessions
Stop by the Lounge to spend time with the SWE LGBTQ+ community and allies!
Volunteering at WE22 and IIBI
Fulfilling a volunteer role at WE22 and/or IIBI is easy, fun, and makes you eligible to earn a registration refund post-event. To be eligible for the volunteer refund, you must check-in for your shift at the WE22 Volunteer Room 382A or IIBI Volunteer Room 330
Be sure you have completed the online training and read your volunteer descriptions thoroughly and check in 15 minutes before the start of your shift.
Register for the Digital Garage: An Immersive VR Experience of Manufacturing Sites
For the first time at SWE’s Annual Conference, ExxonMobil is sponsoring additional space for attendees to experience advanced technology. This Digital Garage is intended to inspire students and professional attendees to dream about where digital tools can take us in the future. Attendees will be able to learn and experience the power of digital tools being used across industry, with hands-on demonstrations of virtual reality simulations, augmented reality, digital twining, scanning equipment, Artificial Intelligence, and more!

How to use the WE22 Online Planner
Use the WE22 Online Planner for a web-based view of more than 150 sessions. Easily view the entire conference schedule before you even arrive onsite.
To begin developing your customized conference plan, login with your conference registration ID and last name. The WE22 Online Planner will sync with the WE22 App so you can easily switch back and forth between the two.
