Pfizer’s Rotational Programs offer college graduates the opportunity to progress through various rotations — each of which last for about 6-12 months. These programs, lasting a total of 24 months, provide essential skill development and knowledge sharing along the way.
The mission is to accelerate the individual’s development through immersive experiences within Pfizer and, ultimately, find the best fit for the individual and the organization. These rotations provide essential skill development, while simultaneously building business acumen, strategic problem solving, and leadership skills.

Rysa Khan, Medical Solutions, Senior Associate New York, New York

This past summer, I graduated from the Digital Rotational Program. My current role is a project manager in the medical solutions space in Digital Research and Development.
My current project includes working on an internal search engine for our medical colleagues, serving as the lead for analytics and surveys for our Medical Information colleagues, and creating a website for an upcoming global symposium.
I was able to intern during my junior year as a project coordinator. During my experience, I learned more about Pfizer and its culture, which encouraged me to pursue an interest in the Digital Rotational Program.
Throughout my experience in the program, I was able to meet many other incredible rotational colleagues and even collaborate with a few on various projects. I had ample opportunities to get involved in projects outside of Digital, as well as community service initiatives!
Throughout my time in the program, I learned a lot about being adaptive to change and being curious. As each of my roles were very different in different parts of Pfizer, being adaptive to a new team every few months was crucial.
One of the best ways to understand the role and how it impacts the organization was to simply ask questions. Along with this curiosity, urging myself to fully dive into each project helped me learn how to easily transition into new roles and projects which led me to my current role — one which I didn’t know existed when I first started the program.
One of the most impactful projects I’ve worked on is an internal search platform called MedNav! I’ve been able to develop many of my soft skills like organization, communication, and critical thinking. From ideating new releases, updates, and features to understanding user experience and improving UX, I have been able to play a key role as the digital lead for the platform.
If I were to give advice to my younger self, I would tell her to be more open to uncertainty and say “yes” more often. I found myself getting exciting opportunities and meeting people from all over the organization purely because I volunteered on a project with them.
With each opportunity you learn something new, meet someone new, and maybe even find new areas of expertise!
