Have Fun and Learn about STEM Careers

In celebration of Manufacturing Month, join the Lorain County Community College (LCCC) collegiate affiliate of the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) for an empowering event called STEM Showcase and Discover Your Super Hero. The event is October 10, 2017 in Elyria, OH from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm at College Center Mall. This interactive event will highlight careers in STEM and provide a hands-on engineering experience. Students of all ages, teachers, counselors and parents are invited to attend.

See the U.S. Army’s STEM truck, which challenges visitors to solve a real-life global problem using the Army’s latest technology and teamwork. Meet Army officers, and hear from female engineering students.

SWE Past President Jessica Rannow will give a lightning talk on STEM inspiration. Download the event flyer. A live broadcast of this free event is available upon registration. For more information, contact Ramona at ranand@lorainccc.edu or call (440) 366-4930. Register and learn more here about SWE LCCC, the first community college collegiate affiliate of SWE.
