The Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) recently honored C. Susan Howes with SPE Honorary Membership at SPE’s Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition held in Dallas, TX. Howes is Vice President of Engineering at Subsurface Consultants & Associates.
Howes is being recognized for her rare combination of skills as a degreed licensed professional petroleum engineer and a Registered Professional in HR, proving soft skills training as speaker, author, member of the Soft Skills Council, and member of the Society of Women Engineers.
SPE serves more than 159,000 members worldwide, sharing technical knowledge for the benefit of our industry. Each year, SPE presents awards that recognize members whose efforts have advanced petroleum technology, as well as their professional achievements and contributions to the industry and the society.
