Meet SWE’s Board of Directors: FY19 Director of Engagement, Andrea Clewley
Andrea Clewley is the SWE Director of Engagement for the 2019 fiscal year. Andrea always loved math and science, and found engineering to be a perfect combination of the two. She received her bachelors degree in chemical engineering from the University of Wisconsin and has worked for consumer product companies since graduation.
Andrea is currently working as a regulatory lab manager for Tempur Sealy International, responsible for four test labs in two locations, including the only internally operated, accredited burn lab in the mattress industry. Her team is responsible for the testing and qualification of new products and product improvements across the Stearns & Foster®, Sealy®, and Tempur-Pedic® product lines.
She is a SWE life member and has served in a variety of leadership roles, from section president to region governor. As FY19 Director of Engagement, Andrea is responsible for the Membership Committee, as well as GradSWE.
