Episode 76: Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with Past SWE Presidents
In this Diverse podcast episode, SWE Latinos Affinity Group co-lead Bianca McCartt speaks with two past Hispanic SWE presidents, Anna Salguero and Alma Martinez Fallon, to discuss the history and future of SWE’s inclusion efforts.
The U.S. observes Hispanic Heritage Month annually from September 15 thru October 15. During the month we celebrate the culture, contributions and history of those people whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, Central America and South America. The wonderful SWE Latinos Affinity Group has taken this opportunity to highlight the achievements and contributions of Hispanic women engineers. This year, they are taking a look back at how Hispanic women have made an impact on SWE.
Join Bianca, and the first and second Hispanic SWE presidents—Anna Salguero and Alma Martinez Fallon—as they explore the history of SWE, their presidential contributions to SWE, and how they were influenced by SWE in their careers.
