Register for WE20 here and look forward to daily yoga (weekdays during the weeks of November 2nd and 9th) hosted by Coconut Yoga! Sponsored by Clarios, CNH, IBM, and Kohler, this virtual yoga is curated for SWE members and will offer all levels vinyasa flows and spa yoga for WE20 attendees from around the world.

SWE is working with Coconut Yoga, owned by Katie Hernandez, who is an engineer and works as the Vice President, Global R&D Fruity Confections at Mars Wrigley by day and is also the Founder of Coconut Yoga. Kate Gisborne is the Co-Founder of Coconut Yoga and will also be developing unique yoga content for SWE.

Katie Hernandez

Katie Hernandez: In my classes, I strive to help my students find their connection between breath and movement.  I believe in using the alignment of the yoga poses to help students create a deeper awareness of what’s going on in their physical self, and most importantly to create a space which enables you to do more than you thought achievable, and to ultimately find the interconnectedness which is the practice of yoga.

 


Kate Gisborne

Kate Gisborne: For Kate, her mat is where she creates space, allowing her to slow down and practice living with intention and love. She has a passion for fitness and whole-body wellness and found yoga while recovering from an athletic injury. It didn’t take long for Kate to realize the positive benefits that the practice had on her mind, body and heart. Kate strives to help students realize their best selves through the physical, meditative and spiritual elements of the practice. Over the years, Kate has been inspired and instructed by many of Chicago’s most well-known yoga instructors. She is 200RYT and leads classes in both the city and on Chicago’s North Shore. Her classes are alignment-based and have a wonderful blend of both challenge and fun.
