Want money? Need money? SWE encourages our sections to have outreach and professional development events. If you feel like you don’t have the money to try something new, the grizzled veterans of finance have some information to help you out.  SWE’s Program Development Grant (PDG) Committee is here to help!

With planning and writing skills you can get a $250-$5,000 grant for your planned event. This is an underutilized funding source in SWE. The sections that know about it regularly apply. We need to see more of you applying.

Applications are taken quarterly.  Head over to the PDG website and find out how to get some money for your programs. The PDG website has all the information, including a detailed Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) document. Look to SWE’s weekly emails for notices of application openings. Email the PDG Committee Chair with any questions not answered in the FAQ at pdg-chair@swe.org.

The SWE Finance Committee is a standing committee dedicated to fiscal interests within SWE. If SWE finance questions arise, please email the SWE Finance Committee at financecommittee@swe.org or visit us during our office hours. Office hours are generally held monthly and at Annual Conference. The Executive Council does not have to go it alone with our SWE annual fiscal process.
