The SWE Community Colleges Affinity Group (AG) proudly supports and advocates for community college women in engineering and technology and highlights the importance of community colleges in achieving diversity and inclusion in STEM.

With support and funding from SWE’s Community College Affiliate Support and Expansion (CCASE) Program, the Community Colleges AG is excited to announce an opportunity to have fun, be creative, and win cash to support your SWE Community College Affiliate!

To enter this competition, you’ll create a two to three-minute video that addresses at least one of the following prompts. More than one prompt can be addressed, but only one is required.

  • What impact has your SWE Affiliate had on you? (“You” refers to students, faculty, or your campus community.)
  • How has your Affiliate supported the mission of the SWE Community Colleges AG?
  • How has CCASE supported your Affiliate?
  • How has your community college supported, or plans to support, your SWE Affiliate?

Faculty, students, and alumni who are associated with an existing community college SWE Affiliate or who are in the process of establishing a new SWE Affiliate are eligible to submit a video. All prizes will be awarded by direct deposit to the SWE Affiliate faculty advisor or designated representative for support of SWE Affiliate and outreach activities.

  • 1st Prize: $750
  • 2nd Prize: $500
  • 3rd Prize: $250

Find more detailed information and criteria here and submit your video by Friday, March 1, 11:59 p.m. EDT.

The SWE Community Colleges AG and CCASE Programs team look forward to viewing your submission and learning about your SWE Affiliate. Good luck!
