Succession planning is a fundamental cornerstone of sustainable leadership. In today’s era of quick fixes, the continuity of leadership is more vital than ever.

In this dynamic landscape, experienced Society of Women Engineers (SWE) leaders from various sized SWE Sections across the globe collaborated to create a SWE Section Election Manual.

Using best practices and filling in the gaps amongst Society-established documents, the SWE Section Election Manual is a resource designed to navigate both the challenges and the opportunities of selecting future leaders.

The SWE Section Election Manual provides an overview of the section leadership election process for the section Nominating Committee and its interactions with the Executive Council and members. The manual can be used as is or modified to meet the needs of the Section.

You can find the SWE Section Election Manual on SWE’s website.
