Belonging, amplified: where swe and deib partner societies intersect through joint membership

The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) is proud to release its annual Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging (DEI&B) Report: SWE’s Legacy of Cultivating Belonging — marking 75 years of building community, connection, and change within engineering and technology.

This milestone report celebrates SWE’s historic and ongoing efforts to create a culture where every member feels seen, supported, and valued. From its founding in 1950 to its global presence today, SWE’s story is one of trailblazers, advocates, and allies who turned belonging into action.

The work reflected in this year’s report demonstrates both progress and purpose, while acknowledging that the journey toward equity and inclusion is continuous. SWE’s DEI&B initiatives are informed by ongoing assessments, guided by the organization’s strategic plan, and advanced each year through the president’s operational plan, which connects long-term goals to daily action.

Within the report, you’ll find membership and demographic data, key performance metrics, and spotlights on programs and partnerships that continue to shape SWE’s impact around the world. The report also provides members and partners a centralized collection of DEI&B resources, including tools, guides, and materials — all to help them foster inclusion across the SWE community.
