August 2016 SWE President’s Message

By Jessica Rannow, FY17 President of the Society of Women Engineers

Here’s a look at what we’re working on this month.

Governance Update

We’re making progress on SWE’s Governance Update. If you have questions about this important initiative, go to our Governance Update page at governance.swe.org.

See videos from SWE leaders. Watch our Town Hall Webinar. And learn about the work that has been done so far. To contribute to the conversation, email governance@swe.org.

Membership Campaign

Don’t forget to renew your SWE membership. We’re reminding members with our new campaign “I Am With SWE.”

SWE members are saying “I Am With SWE” on social media, our website and in emails. Let us know if you want to be part of the campaign, and renew today at renew.swe.org.

WE Local

Starting next year, WE Local conferences will begin replacing Region Conferences. The first WE Local events will be in February in Pittsburgh and San Jose. Learn more at welocal.swe.org.

If you have questions, contact welocal@swe.org.

WE16

It’s time to register for WE16. Go to we16.swe.org. You’ll find all the information you need to know about housing, including a warning about “Housing Pirates!” If they call, don’t give them your credit card information. Register only through SWE’s website.

See you in Philadelphia, and thanks for watching!
