SWE Partners with Michigan Engineering to Help Women Engineers Explore the Career Option of Graduate School

Michigan Engineering and SWE have created a new partnership to provide valuable resources and information to help women engineers explore the career option of graduate school. The University of Michigan partnered with the National Society of Black Engineers and the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers for a similar program. The goal of these partnerships is to make sure women engineers are aware of the benefits of graduate school.

“To tackle society’s problems, which are increasing in complexity, you need the advanced knowledge a graduate degree can provide.” – Elizabeth Dreyer, Ph.D. student in electrical engineering, University of Michigan, SWE Graduate Member Coordinator

These online resources will empower SWE members to explore, prepare, and apply for graduate school. This information will help them:

  • Find the right program

  • Build a strong application

  • Get funded

In the video below, members of the Society of Women Engineers at the University of Michigan explain why they decided to become engineers and pursue advanced degrees in engineering.
