2018 STEP Ahead Awards

The Manufacturing Institute announced its 2018 STEP Ahead Award Honorees and Emerging Leaders. The honorees “accomplished success within their companies and have proven to be leaders in the industry as a whole.” This year, the Institute also recognized a select few for “representing young women who are the future of the industry and have demonstrated exceptional accomplishments at just the beginning of their careers.”

Among the 130 women honored at the 2018 STEP Ahead Awards at the National Building Museum were several SWE members:

Angel McMullen-Gunn – Eastern Nebraska Section
Samantha Burger- Kettering University B Section
Ranjana Chandramouli- Central Indiana Section
Ellen Fulcher – Chicago Regional Section
Kendra Goudreau – North Country Section
Yvonne Schaeffer – Quad Cities / Muscatine Section
Rachel Wilde – Wisconsin Section

Influential Women in Manufacturing

The editors of Putman Media (Chemical Processing, Control, Control Design, Food Processing, Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, Plant Services and Smart Industry magazines) announced the inaugural class of Influential Women in Manufacturing.

They include these SWE members:

Linda Freeman – Central Florida
Libby Taylor – Detroit Section
Anne Lucietto – Members at Large

IWiM 2018 honorees will be recognized with biographies in a dedicated eBook that will be available this summer.
