Spring is in full bloom and with the new season often comes change. Some may take this time to engage in spring cleaning, begin a new task or even begin a new career position.   

If you are considering putting some spring in your step this season, consider serving on a SWE committee.  Committees are the pulse of SWE and aims to move the organization forward. If you have ever considered serving on committees including WE Local Host Committee, Leadership Coaching, SWENext Programs, Integrated Marketing Advisory Board or Women in Academia and many more committees, this is the time to apply. 

It is essential to have diverse voices apart of these committees. So, SWE needs you!! Be sure to check out more on the FY23 Call for Committees.  And act fast, submissions for committee leadership positions are due May 1, 2022 11:59 PM CT.   

For those who are refreshing their resumes and looking for new roles this season, SWE also will host their Annual Virtual Career Fair for Professionals May 4, 2022 from 1:00 -4:00 pm ET. This virtual career fair will allow you to connect one-on-one with virtual recruiters from more than 20 companies. Recruiters are looking to tap into SWE’s diverse community of engineers and that means you!  Be sure to check out more on the virtual career fair and register to attend.   

So this spring, take a moment to embrace the season by yes smelling the flowers, but also invest in your career and professional development growth.
