About Gadeer Jaber:Swe Staff Spotlight: Gadeer Jaber

Gadeer Jaber is the Coordinator of Administrative Services at the Society of Women Engineers. She joined the SWE team in February 2020 and is responsible for overseeing several aspects of the organization’s financial services, mainly involving accounts payable. She also provides administrative assistance across the office. Before becoming a SWE staff member, Gadeer earned a degree of Bachelor of Business Administration with a double major in Accounting and Finance from Saint Xavier University. During her time at Saint Xavier, Gadeer co-founded and lead the Financial Management Association as President and managed a Medical Transportation Business.


Where are you from/where were you raised?

I was born in New York, raised in Palestine.

What is your favorite sports team?

The Chicago Bulls!!

If you were an animal, what would you be?

Penguin, they are way too cute.

Which meal is your favorite: breakfast, lunch, or dinner?

All three, I love to eat!

What’s one food item you can’t resist?

Burgers!

If you could eat one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Fries.

What is your greatest fear?

Losing a loved one.

What is the best piece of advice you’ve received?

“Take advantage of your youth, health, wealth, time, and life” (Prophet Muhammad).

Do you have any interesting or little-known facts about yourself?

I am a talker, but that’s a little too obvious…..

What chore do you absolutely hate doing?

Laundry, I have zero patience for folding.

What is your favorite thing about your job?

My team!
