There are many women engineers who are not famous, even in their own niches, who deserve to be recognized for the impact they have as engineers and individuals.

They are the unsung heroes we know and cherish and who we want others to know.

They are ordinary women engineers who have made significant contributions and who lead interesting and fulfilling lives but are not necessarily famous and may not have received other awards.

They are women who work behind the scenes, not in the limelight, but who make real change in the workplace and in our communities.

Do You Know an Engineer Who Fits This Description? Nominate Them for SWE’s 2024 Women Engineers You Should Know!

You can nominate any woman engineer — they don’t need to be a SWE member. Nominees can be contemporary or historic, and we recommend nominating those who have contributed to their industry or community (e.g., technical leaders, social activists, rule breakers, philanthropists and global leaders).

The recipients will be recognized in the Spring 2024 issue of the award-winning SWE Magazine.

Submissions are only collected via this form and are due Wednesday, Jan. 31. Any documentation sent via email will not be considered.

If you have any questions, please email WomenEngineersToKnow@gmail.com.

Want to be inspired by our previously recognized women engineers? Explore the Women Engineers You Should Know from the Spring 2023, Spring 2022 and Spring 2021 issues of SWE Magazine.
