Ever-growing and evolving, GradSWE Affinity Group serves college graduates, master’s students, Ph.D. students, and any alum of graduate programs. Across North America, there are currently 31 SWE Sections that have active GradSWE communities, not including the countless emails we receive from passionate graduate students looking to start these communities at their university sections.
For FY26 (July 1, 2025-June 30, 2026), the GradSWE Affinity Group (AG) seeks to provide resources to graduate women and allies, as well as sections, with the following programming:
- Introducing existing SWE programs that are open to GradSWE members
- Providing support and community for master’s students and Ph.D. students
- Creating opportunities for GradSWE members to exhibit their technical achievements through Graduate Student Showcases
- Offering personal insights and stories on the different paths that women engineers take through graduate school
Seeking to address the unique needs of graduate women, GradSWE AG has put together a comprehensive survey to better understand who we are, where we are, and how we can best serve our community. Please take a moment to fill out this brief survey!
This is the first-ever survey that has been conducted for GradSWE members. Whether you are currently an active member at a section or an alum of a graduate program, we want to hear from you!
If you would like to talk to us, whether to add your GradSWE to the section directory or support our efforts, please reach out to gradswe-ag@swe.org!
