Meet SWE’s Board of Directors: FY19 President-Elect, Cindy Hoover
Cindy Hoover is the SWE President-Elect for the 2019 fiscal year and a longtime SWE member of 30 years. SWE has always been a constant in her life—introducing her to lasting friendships and networking opportunities throughout her career. Cindy remains involved in SWE to help drive the overall vision of a world with gender parity and equality in engineering and technology.
She credits wonderful high school teachers and her technology engineer father for encouraging her to explore the STEM path. Since graduating from Wichita State University with a degree in Electrical Engineering, she has worked in a variety of roles including program management, Six Sigma, operations management and site management. She currently serves as Vice President and Chief Engineer for Operations at Spirit AeroSystems.
