You will learn about different types and styles of communication and participate in a couple of communication exercises. In addition to thinking about communication as the speaker, you will want to pay attention to your listening skills.

By the conclusion of this module, you should be able to:

  • Identify four different communication styles, and apply them to a case study situation.
  • Identify different listening styles.

Leadership Fundamentals Module 3 – Feedback Fundamentals

Earn 0.1 CEU

As you develop in your career, one of the most important skills you will need to develop is giving and receiving feedback. Most of us cringe when we hear the word feedback. In fact, feedback can be a source of great insight, direction and reinforcement. When shared correctly, feedback provides clear and concise suggestions as to how to be more effective.

By the conclusion of this module, you should be able to:

  • Identify the value of constructive feedback as a tool for managing performance.
  • Recognize that feedback provides you with information needed to enhance your performance.
  • Explore the kinds of choices you make about seeking and receiving constructive feedback.

Why teams? With an increase in global competition, companies are placing an overwhelming emphasis on greater productivity from a smaller number of employees. To maximize productivity, more and more companies are turning to team-building as an effective and efficient way to achieve their objectives in today’s marketplace.

By the conclusion of this module, you should be able to:

  • Determine the most effective leadership style to use to empower teams to succeed based on what project or development stage they are in.
