This year, Women’s History Month celebrates the resilience and innovation of women engineers who have shaped the world and continue to push boundaries, including SWE’s 75 years of breaking barriers and advancing women in STEM.
To honor this milestone, we have curated this list of resources from our blog, magazine, and podcast spotlighting a few of the many inspirational stories of women engineers through history, including some who have played a crucial role in SWE’s journey.

- Profiles and Perspectives from Behind the Research: Learn more about some of the researchers whose work has been cited over the years in our State of Women in Engineering issues and how trends and interests change over time, as do areas of consensus and differences among researchers and research findings.

- Research Physiologist Named to National Inventors Hall of Fame: Read this profile on Alice Stoll, one of only four women inducted into the Class of 2024 National Inventors Hall of Fame for exceptional contributions to society. She received the SWE Achievement Award in 1969 and served as chair of the SWE awards committee in 1970.
