On October 29, the US embassy in Beijing, the Beijing Women’s Network and the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) held an event titled “Turn Your Disadvantage Into an Advantage: Women in Male-Dominated Industries.” The event invited four experts with diverse backgrounds to share how they empower entry-level and mid-career women to build upon their professional skills and life’s purpose. The speakers included:

  • Zeena Fruitwala, VP, Global Business Operations at Greater China Dell Technologies;
  • Allison Gu, Digital Director of Cummins;
  • Victoria Wilk, Director of Safety and Regulatory Affairs at Boeing;
  • Julie Willig, Senior Director of Girl Up.
