Each year, SWE sponsors FIRST Robotics Competition teams, thanks to a program funded by the Motorola Solutions Foundation. This year seven teams made it to the finals in Houston and St. Louis!
Women in STEM Panels
SWE is also represented at the 4th Annual Women in STEM panels at FIRST in Houston and St. Louis where girls can get answers from the experts about careers, college, mentorship, working in STEM, and more.

Teams make a commitment to gender equity so that the gender ratio on SWE-sponsored teams is at least 50/50 girls and boys. They must have at least one girl in a technical role and complete SWE’s Outreach 4 Change online modules, which provide age-appropriate diversity and inclusion training.
