Kick off your WE17 conference week in Austin with the NXP Foundation’s prestigious event recognizing the brightest young women students in science, technology, engineering and mathematics world-wide.

On October 25, 2017, in Austin, Texas, the NXP Foundation will proudly launch the inaugural Women’s STEM Leadership Forum to honor the best and brightest young women and their academic and innovative achievements. In addition to an exceptional line-up of speakers and panel discussions, the Forum will offer attendees an extraordinary opportunity for professional interface and dialogue with some of industry’s top female technology leaders.

As the capstone to this event, the NXP Foundation will recognize ten outstanding students with the Women’s STEM Student Achievement Award, which carries a cash prize ranging from $1,000 to $5,000 and important recognition of achievement, imagination, and commitment to making a difference in the world.

The NXP Foundation Women’s STEM Leadership Forum precedes the Society of Women Engineers Annual Conference, WE17, which will be held from October 26-28, 2017, also in Austin.

NXP Foundation Women’s STEM Leadership Forum
Participation in the event is limited. To be considered for attendance, submit your online registration application by September 15, 2017.  You will be notified no later than September 22, 2017, if you are selected to attend. 

NXP Foundation Women’s STEM Student Achievement Award
To compete for the achievement award, submit your entry by email to nxp.foundation@nxp.com by September 30, 2017. You will be notified by October 6, 2017, if you have been selected as a finalist.

NXP Foundation Women’s STEM Leadership Forum Registration Application
Learn more and apply to attend here. This opportunity is available to outstanding female students in any field of science, technology, engineering, or math who are in their sophomore, junior, or senior year of college. SWE Members with collegiate leadership experience are encouraged to attend.

NXP Foundation Women’s STEM Student Achievement Award
Learn more and apply here. This award recognizes the accomplishment and vision of outstanding women students in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and math. The NXP Foundation will recognize ten finalists for this award. The first place prize winner will receive a $5,000 cash award. The second place prize winner will receive a $2,000 cash award. The remaining finalists will each receive a $1,000 cash award. Finalists must attend the NXP Foundation Women’s STEM Leadership Forum in Austin, Texas, on October 25, 2017 to receive the cash award.

Eligibility:  All applicants registering for the award and/or event must have completed at least one full year of college. Applicant must be a female student enrolled in an accredited undergraduate college or university program as of the fall 2017 semester with a declared major in any field of science, technology, engineering, or math, or related subject study.
