Not only was Ikpotokin Peace able to speak about SWE and what she does as an ambassador, but she was also invited to the Round Table Stakeholders Meeting to speak on the United Nations 14th Day of Activism to End Violence against Women in Rivers State. The event was held on 10th December 2018 in partnership with PIND (Partner For Initiative In The Niger Delta), and UN WOMEN AND CEDI RIVERS.

The meeting focused on workplace violence. Peace spoke about how workplace violence could be reduced and the challenges women face when entering the workforce. She then touched on the various ways in which SWE is tackling these major issues via strategic programs and other initiatives. Peace mentioned, "It was indeed an opportunity to talk about SWE and call for partnership and initiatives to help reduce female gender violence in STEM disciplines since women are under-represented in Engineering."

SWE is grateful to have such hardworking, dedicated, and inspirational members and Affiliates/Ambassadors that help to spread the importance of our message throughout the globe!
