Northrop Grumman Supports Young Women Engineers

WE Local Conferences are just around the corner! There are some exciting opportunities for young, female engineers to participate in. Northrop Grumman helps make SWENext DesignLab and Community Awards possible for all women engineers.
SWENext Community Award Winners

Apply for the WE18 SWENext AwardsSWENext DesignLab is an outreach event taking place at three WE Local conferences in 2019 - Baltimore, St. Louis and Denver. At DesignLab, students, parents and educators will learn more about how younger generations can pursue their interests in STEM. The morning will consist of educational sessions for students, including SWENext 101, bias literacy training and role models matter training. The afternoon will feature presentations from teams competing in the DesignLab Community Engagement Challenge. An award ceremony will follow for the Community Engagement Challenge, the Community Award recognition and the Community Innovator Award winners.

The SWENext Workshop will be hosted at WE Local Bellevue and will consist of educational sessions for students, parents and educators! The afternoon will consist of an award ceremony for the Community Award recipients.

Baltimore, St. Louis, Denver and Bellevue features the SWENext Community Awards for girls in grade 6 through 12 who are actively interested in STEM and doing something in their community about it. (e.g. raising awareness, mentoring students, participating in SWENext, etc.). Community Award recipients will attend a SWENext DesignLab or Workshop program in one of four cities and receive a certificate during the awards ceremony. Juniors and seniors are eligible for the Community Innovator Award and will receive a trophy and mentor session with a SWE Member!
